This memorial is for one of the most beautiful people anyone could have ever known, Charles
Fernandes, my brother-in-law, my husband's brother my children's much loved uncle and wonderful son
to Ligia and Jose.
He was taken from us suddenly on 10th May 2009 after being rushed to hospital in an ambulance after
passing out on Saturday 9th May, he has suffered a massive brain haemorrhage at a very young age of
31.
Charles was on of those people you just could not dislike, everyone that had the good fortune of
knowing him where truly lucky, he would do anything for anyone and help out wherever he could. The
only thing that gives us peace is knowing he was so very happy when he as taken from us and had done
almost everything in his life that he had set out to do.
We all miss you like you will never know Charles, god bless you, hope all the angels are looking
after you now.
Lots of love forever, Michael, Vickie, Jayden, Seren, Mum, Dad, Sam, Kathy and all of your
wonderful friends & family
Dearest Charles
Charles,
I was saddened to hear that you have left us to enjoy the wonders of heaven. Knowing that God only selects His best people when they are young makes me even more priviledged to have known you Charles.
Thank you for being such a genuine friend and a positive influence during the 5 years or so that we worked together at ew - you helped me overcome my fears of IT. Thank you for all the laughter that you brought to the Manchester office, your visits were always great fun.
Rest in Peace my friend, whilst the tears may fall knowing you're not here, the memories will bring smiles and in time dry them away.
God Bless You Charles.

Goodbye Charles
I only knew Charles for a short time whilst we worked together, but he was the sweetest, funniest and smartest of guys.
It makes me feel so sad that he was taken so young, I can only begin to imagine the loss of those nearest and dearest to him.
My thoughts are with you all.
Charles
I was walking through Victoria at the end of March, and you appeared from a corner of the energywatch building, the same Charles that I knew seven years before when I was working at energywatch. I was deeply touched that you remembered me, but that was typical of what I knew of you. You brightened my day that day, and all of the other days that I was priviledged to know you for. Nearly an hour later we had put several worlds to rights...
My thoughts are very much with your family and friends - you were that rare thing, a truly kind person. RIP.
Much love
Rachel
Charles, I want to thank you for keeping in touch with me after we left uni. It was great that we met for a few pints and a catch up on your visits to Manchester. I was really pleased that you made the trip up to Edinburgh for my stag do and it was good to see you and Sam at our wedding.
Mine and Kim’s memories will always be of the funny, charming cockney with an infectious chuckle and your ‘Ello’ catchphrase.
R.I.P. Charles

A great guy
Charles, So shocked and incredibly saddened. Its been a good 8 years working together, and you’ve been a great friend as well as colleague during that time. You were an excellent technologist, knew what you were doing and were really dedicated to helping everyone out. I can’t believe that I won’t get anymore 4am emails to tell me you’ve fixed something.
We could pick up conversation days after it had first started and still make sense of it. You had a great sense of humour, and I shall really miss our regular conversations over a drink or 4, putting the world to rights. You were a true friend, and it was a great pleasure to know you.
It is not so much our friends' help that helps us as the confident knowledge that they will help us - Epicurus

I'm not sure I can add anything to the messages left below from all friends and family past and present.
Meeting you before Christmas by chance in Victoria was a real gem and it was great to see you hadn't changed a bit - same laid back sarcasm and easy approach to life, almost the epitome of the phrase "life's too short"!
I'm sure you're looking down smiling.
I count myself as fortunate to have known you and my thoughts are with Sam and your family.
